Sherry Grissom is an Associate Director of Service and Support at Illumina. She began her career at Illumina 14 years ago, as a field application scientist. In this role, she worked directly with users of the Illumina technology-training product use and troubleshooting technical issues. She now manages a team of field application scientists in the Mid-Atlantic region as well as leading various CX-focused strategy and project teams within the Illumina Americas region. A primary driver in these teams is to not settle for status quo and to challenge a “we’ve always done it this way” mentality. She is a graduate of NC State University in the Biochemistry, Chemistry and Functional Genomics programs.
Sr Staff Customer Experience Culture Specialist, Illumina
Melissa Spears is a Sr Staff Customer Experience Specialist at Illumina. She began her career at Illumina 11 years ago, as a field application scientist. In this role, she worked directly with users of the Illumina technology-training product use and troubleshooting technical issues. She now leads the Global CX Culture program at Illumina. The focus of her work is to create a culture where employees and customers feel highly valued and emotionally connected to Illumina’s mission. She is a graduate of Southern Illinois University where she majored in Microbiology and Chemistry.
